Transitioning Services

Our research with mature workers shows that there is no substitute for one-to-one coaching/consultations. It reflects a preferred learning style of mature people and creates a framework for “personalised” planning, transitions and interventions.

From our experience very few mature employees have a purposeful plan or pathway for life beyond work.

For most employees there are three key areas that need to be addressed:

  • Superannuation – understanding their financial “position” and what super entitlements and options are available
  • Government entitlements (e.g. Centrelink) – understanding entitlements at
  • Life planning – creating a framework, blueprint and pathway for a successful life beyond work

We have developed a “one-day” format with coaches representing each of the essential elements. Generally this is most productive when participants have had an opportunity to absorb the messages from the initial ‘Changing Gears’ workshop and prepare for a meaningful discussion with a relevant professional. In many instances, employees choose to have their partners join them as decisions surrounding transitions are often made jointly.

We customise these services for employers based on specific needs and budget. This can take the form of proprietary tool kits and work programs; newsletters and blogs; through to sophisticated platforms that provide e-learning; information and referral; induction; coaching and recruitment content.
